Black Tea starts with plucked leaves of the tea bush camellia sinensis which are the same as that used to produce White, Green and Oolong varieties, Black teas come in all shapes and sizes from large hand-crafted leaves to the smaller grades created by CTC manufacture specifically designed to infuse quickly for use in tea bags. Geographically, black teas are produced all over the tea world and range in taste from fragrant Darjeeling, through malty Assam to flavoury Kenya.
